Jasmine Pu-Erh Mini Tea Cakes 2 lbs

$69.00

It delivers a fragrant cup of tea with an earthy, full bodied taste and a smooth mellow flavor. It is the most complex of all Chinese teas and undergoes “aging” to acquire its distinct taste and numerous health benefits. This tea from China’s Yunnan region comes as a compressed miniature cake wrapped in rice paper. It was introduced in China in the 13nth century for its medicinal value but its manufacture process was a closely guarded secret. This semi oxidized tea is combined with Pouchong and jasmine petals to create an aromatic blend. It helps clean up poisoning effects, controls cholesterol and is good for stomach upset and weight loss. It is particularly enjoyable in the evening as it is mildly astringent and refreshing.

This tea is blended using the petals of jasmine sambac, a night blooming flower that is traditionally being used to make jasmine scented teas. I brewed this tea at 212 degree and steeped it subsequently for 30 seconds. The tea had a bright copper color and a sweet floral aroma. I was a bit nervous to try out this tea, however when I sipped onto it I found the taste to be perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the jasmine and the earthiness of pu-erh. After a few cups over a few days, I was totally addicted to this jasmine tea. The color and taste didn’t affect my choice in any ways. I would certainly recommend this tea.

If you want a taste of the most refreshing tea, try the jasmine tea. It is very refreshing and will keep you craving for more. The tea has a mild floral note of the jasmine. In addition to that the tea brewing is a sight to behold. The white flowers of the globule give it that lovely flavor. The tea has a natural soothing effect to it and makes you feel rejuvenated

Sometimes, I do not like anything with jasmine in it since I find it overpowering but Primatea’s jasmine pu-erh tea is a total exception. I enjoyed every sip of this tea, there was nothing like the flavor being too strong. Very much recommended tea.

A sip of this tea leaves you craving for more. Very very refreshing. It just relaxes you after a long day. Also, the tea unfurling in hot water is a lovely sight. You can almost see the white of the jasmine flowers opening up. The best part of it is that it does not have any artificial flavoring. It is natural and simply feels therapeutic.
