I am very happy to lay my hands on the Young Hyson tea. I have long been a fan of the Young Hyson tea. This is one of the many teas with a delicate flavor and no harshness at all. It is very much suitable for those who seek relaxation after a long tiring day. This was the first green tea that I bought from Primatea. I am also pleased with other black teas that I find here but this green is probably the best according to me. Overall, the tea has a complex yet a satisfying taste which is enough to keep you hooked to it.

I think this tea has an interesting name and an equally interesting flavour. Its distinctive sweet plum like flavour reminded me of fresh plums. It also has a sweet lingering fragrance. It is mildly astringent which keeps my mouth clean and clear. I find it a proactive tea which refreshes my taste buds and my mood.

I work at an MNC and there is not much time to select from a variety of tea. I had not enjoyed another variety of tea since long time and Chunmee was one of them. It was then I decided to try Primatea’s Chunmee and to be frank, I was not disappointed at all. Although it seemed a bit different as I was having different type of tea over the years. Chunmee tea has a delicate milky undertone along with a fantastic aroma and a green color. I used 2 tsp for an 8oz cup, hence I guess it was a bit on the stronger side. However, I enjoyed it very much. You should give it a try.

I read a lot about Chun Mee being one of the green teas where the dry leaves are said to resemble an eyebrow. After steaming and drying, each leaf is hand rolled in order to give it a slightly arched shape. The result, as you can see with your own eyes. The taste of this tea is strikingly sweet and you will notice its grassy aroma delicious enough to get a person’s attraction drawn towards it. I brewed a cup at first to try it and steeped it later on. The tea got an amber color and smelled like vague chocolate. I didn’t find anything bad in this tea. I think you should try this once.

The aroma is smoky: much less so than gunpowder tea, but nonetheless quite smoky. The smoky character is bold without overpowering the other aspects of the tea. The aroma also has some intricate aspects to it. The tea is much less bitter than the aroma would suggest, and it has a cool and clean aftertaste. I like this one, and it is very inexpensive. Make sure not to brew this one with water that is too hot.

The first thing that you notice after opening the pack of the Chunmee tea is the dry leaf aroma that is very much similar to that of a good gunpowder. When brewed according to the instructions, it obtains a more traditional flavor and aroma. It has a bit nutty/woody taste being a bit strong but not bitter. I and my husband enjoy this tea very much and we never fail to have at least 2 cups a day. It is quite interesting to keep it as a staple tea.

I have tried many varieties of green tea, but I drink this one on a daily basis. It has a strong, almost smoky flavor that is slightly sweet and smooth. You can’t beat it for the price!
