One thing that I would like to say about this tea is that it is a “true to the roots” tea. It is one of the green teas which you would want a green tea to taste like. As far as my preference is concerned, I just got what I expected from this blend. I didn’t want a bunch of different tastes, so this one turned out to be perfect for me. Some of them may find it to be a little bland but it’s just awesome. I highly recommend it to the tea drinkers.

When I first bought this tea, I thought it was too grassy. However, I cut down on the amount of tea I used for brewing. According to my preference, it is best to use half the recommended tea to water ratio and a brew time of 2 minutes. The taste then becomes sweeter and milder. If you don’t like the taste, you can experiment a little. This is a wonderful tea for everyday drinking and it is very much affordable too.

I have been a fan of Japanese tea for years now and sencha is one of my all time favorites. Honestly speaking, the first time I brewed it I felt a bit disappointed, however, I came to know that brewing it for a shorter time improves its taste. The taste is grassy and satisfies at least what you expect it to be. This is one of the best green teas that you will ever have. I guess others should also give it a try and I’m sure, they will love it.

Unlike the sencha teas I have tasted so far, I found this particular variety quite smooth with a lingering floral note. Its delicate green tea flavor is extremely soothing. It did not turn bitter even after multiple infusions in luke warm water. Definitely an enjoyable subtle green tea. I would certainly order more of this tea.

I found it ideal for making ice tea. A perfectly cool and refreshing drink for a hot and humid summer day. You can enjoy the delight of traditional Japanese ice tea with it. You can choose to brew it with ice, cool water or in hot water and then cooling it quickly. Each method extracts the ingredients in a different way and yields a different flavor. My favorite flavor is the one got by brewing in cool water as caffeine is not extracted in cool water and it gives a smooth mellow taste without any bitter tones.
